About:
This section can be found at the top of the header and is used to display important information or promotional marketing messages regarding your business.
Recommended information that can be highlighted within the Announcement bar:
- Any shipping delays or regions not accepting international shipments.
- Any new or updated policy pages
- Any promotions or discounts available in your store at that time
- Custom messages for your customers
- Conditions that can be met to activate a secret discount in your store
Options:
The announcement bar’s customization options can be split into:
- Main – where you can find the customization options for the bar, such as the color scheme and the announcement bar’s style
- Slides – The text slides are included in the announcement bar.
Main / Announcement bar:
- Color scheme:
This feature allows you to customize the color scheme for this specific section only. If you want to edit your theme’s colors, you can do so from the theme’s settings.
- Announcement bar style:
Two styles are available, “Carousel” & “Marquee,” along with the options for auto-play interval and animation speed.
Note: Please read the available instructions below each option to understand better how the feature can best be used.
Text Slides:
Five blocks can be used as slides for the announcement bar. The slides offer a variety of customization options:
- Image – You can select an image/logo with significance to your announcement (i.e., a sale logo, a moving truck logo representing fast shipping… etc.).
- The text of the announcement can be added from the Body text box along with a small number of options to customize this text.
- Country drawer – this feature gives your customers the choice of currency selection (this functionality is only available in the desktop view)
- First and Second additional links give you the possibility to customize a fast redirect to a particular product, collection, or page relevant to the announcement.
