About:

A collection is a section designed to draw your customers' attention to a group of products with something in common. Collections can be created in the backend of the Shopify store account and made available on the live store in the collection pages and collections list.

The “Featured collections”  is a section designed to draw attention to a specific group of products in an attractive and easy-to-access manner.

Visual:

The featured collections section can present up to eight collections in two different styles:

• In a group of three collections at a time
• As a carousel

The section is comprised of:

• Section heading
• Section subheading
• Redirect button to the collections list page
• Left/Right arrows to shuffle between the collections
• Collection heading
• Collection card (image)

Customization options:

• Vertical spacing for both desktop and mobile views
• Layout – group / carousel
• Color scheme
• Section heading text
• Section subheading text
• Card style – rounded/ rectangle
• Collection title style
• Button style/label/url

Collection slide:

The featured collections can be added by clicking on the “Add collection slide” button from beneath the “Featured collection”.

Collection slide customization options:

• Link a collection
• Image for the card – if none is assigned, the image is pulled from the backend of the Shopify admin / if assigned, it will overwrite the collection image from the backend.
• Heading

Note: This is a straight forward feature with a highly user-friendly interface. In order to see what each option does, all you have to do is click or select that option. However, when editing the theme, in order to see changes, it is important to hit the “Save” button before performing tests in order for the changes to be applied and come in effect.
